Seeing with Michael Wilson and Kevin Booher

On October 7, 2025, Forge was honored with a special visit by a cherished lifetime friend and fellow artist. Michael Wilson is an internationally esteemed, highly commissioned portrait photographer - whom notably, other artists, musicians and actors entrust to capture their essences - as well as a prolific photographer and publisher of his own “pictures”, as he refers to his photographs. One of Kevin’s earliest art students, Michael kindly included Kevin as among the folks he currently has an interest in “making portraits of people who were inspiring, influential and important to me when I was just taking an interest in making pictures.” In this gallery we invite you to explore what each artist sees in their shared commitment to seeking the truths held by a person or subject in that moment, subsequently sharing it with others to be examined on their own terms.
